OTC成立于1969年，旗下的展會美國OTC以及巴西OTC至今都成為全球綜合類石油天然氣展會。馬來西亞國際石油天然氣展OTC Asia在馬來西亞吉隆坡舉辦，是美國休斯敦OTC的姊妹展，是在亞洲舉行的又一國際性的盛會。展會現場展示先進的海上鉆井、勘探、生產和環保技術，聚集了來自世界各地的石油天然氣行業的專業人士共同分享行業的尖端技術以及產品。
此展會同樣由美國休斯頓OTC展的13家組織機構主辦，是亞洲區域內頗具影響力的海洋石油技術展覽會。
OTC Asia 2020 was held virtually to provide the industry a platform for continued knowledge-sharing and professional development, and to preserve the significant work of the programme committee and authors who had prepared for the in-person event originally planned for March 2020.
